About The Photographer

I’ve been taking photos since I’ve been able to hold a camera. My first camera (that I can remember) was a Kodak 126 Instamatic. I’ve graduated to more modern equipment but my love of photography & my fascination & wonder with it haven’t changed at all.
With some formal training (& a lot of trial & error), I began using my camera as a sideline. In my life, I’ve done a little of everything — soldier, emergency medical technician, firefighter, teacher, peace officer, salesman, musician, even member of the corporate suit & tie world. Through it all, a camera has been my trusty companion. So with some more training at the New England School of Photography, photography became an integral part of my life.
I love to take pictures of people. While I make photographs of just about anything (& have been hired for just about everything), my forte is “people photography.” I love that a camera gives me license, at least briefly, to enter people’s lives. There’s a vitality to a photo session involving a human subject that isn’t there when you’re doing a still life or a scenic. That’s why, even though I’ve worked for large corporate clients, my favorite kind of “work” is still making a photograph of a real person.
If you’d like to see more than the low resolution samples presented here, please contact me. I’m looking forward to hearing from you. I’m available to create photographic images for you and about you. (which is much fancier than saying “take pictures”)
